Went all the way to Tanjong Pagar, 100AM for hair treatment with Lihern. We bought the $38 groupon vouchers which includes Hair & Scalp treatment. Then I added additional step for the scalp treatment and a hair cut by my stylist which happens to be a senior one.

Total: $32 (UP $40) + $25 + GST = $60.95 + $38 (Groupon)

Spent so much for my hair! Side note, my hair is short now again which I'm liking it!

After that, went off the meet Eileen and her family for the 7th Month Dinner.

Busy period coming, with all the talks after classes, then FOH volunteer, and most important UT3.

20th Birthday

Planned for dinner with Mom, Eileen and Maggie! Wanted to spend that day with the special people on the special day. The mother and two closest & bestest friends.

Mom's friend offered to bring us go somewhere to eat. Ended up with Swensens at Changi Airport as mom could eat the ice cream! They had free flow salad and fruits included too.

Most of the food we ordered. Ended up with $106 bill. Quite expensive! Paid half each with mom.

The special people in my life.

Mom and the guy that offered to drive and bring us for dinner!
Just realised my mom's eyes were closed :/

Walked around T3 after that and drove off, dropping Eileen and Maggie home!

Pretty happy with everything that happened on this day! School, Ikea, Dinner.

Happy 20th Birthday to me!

Mommy's 50th Birthday

It's the mother's 50th birthday! Ordered a cake for her a week before. Asked her to choose the design and flavors. Already decided on Emicakes as they offers vegetarian cakes. She chose the Chocolate flavored, 'Pure Addiction'. 1.7 kgs, serves 20-25. After discount, $75. Split the cost between the brothers and me.

Hate the color they chose for the wordings. Can't they simply use white? Looks so ugly on the cake.

Birthday lady with her cake!

A few of mother's friends, that was actually the bride and groom of the wedding lunch that we attended last week, and 2 more of their friends treated us to lunch at a vegetarian restaurant as a birthday treat and gratitude on mom's help on the groom's mother's funeral before.

Then back home to prepare! Last minute, mom decided to order a mini buffet as it's also the 15th of the month based on lunar calendar, her friends will be coming at the evening.

Mom with her friend, also the boss for the catering that refused to accept the payment. So glad that he's willing to accept this order as we actually called him on 2pm+, and requested to deliver on 7pm.

I requested for the peach bun as it's a tradition to have it on one's birthday.

As mentioned, a simply mini vegetarian buffet. Thanks to mom's friend for the treat!

Another couple shot for them after their 30th wedding anniversary!

Happy 50th birthday, mommy! I love you!

BBQ at the Chalet

On the 24th of Nov 2012, Saturday, the mother and me went all the way from North to East to meet up with some of our relatives at the Downtown East Chalet which the grandmother had booked. Pretty excited about the bbq as it's not always that we can get to eat it.

Grandma preparing the fire!

Sadly, nobody prepared any food like stingray! All were bought from Cheers over at the Chalet.

I didn't get to have the wings! I think I only got to eat crabmeat stick, hotdog and some chicken. Not satisfying at all!

I think it's pretty easy to differentiate who is the 2 pairs of sisters. I want a sister too! What's the use of having two brothers. Boo.

And then we surprised Sabrina with a cake as her birthday is around 5 days after the Chalet.

Happy Birthday! God, I miss the baby you! :')

The father came as well, pretty happy about it as he doesn't really like to bond with mother's side. I sort of lured him to join us with the food. Went off around 9pm+. Next gathering should be on Chinese New Year. Can't wait!

Opening the ang paos, Mum's birthday & visit to the Yaos

I opened my ang baos on the evening of CNY 2nd day. Simply just can't wait. Received a few more for these few days! Probably will get another few more before Chinese New Year officially end.

Sad to say, I've already spent some of them. Mostly to clear my debts.

26th January 2012, Mummy's 49th Birthday! Skipped my class. Had vegetarian zhi char for dinner at Clementi. Initially planned to go for vegetarian buffet at Quality hotel. But mum said it's not worth it as she don't eat much. So she chose to eat at Clementi as she love the foods there. Invited grandma, and some of her friends.

Initially, me and my siblings planned to fork out $50 each for the meal. But mum's friend snatched to treat instead. Bill was around $150 too. Such a pity there's no cake.

28th January 2012, went over to Eileen's house. Mainly to use her laptop for my project. Had steamboat there! For 2 meals. And played mahjong for the whole day. Ended the game and cab home at 11.50pm. Trying to avoid the midnight charge. I'm still not sure whether peak hour surcharge or midnight charge is more expensive. But I'm guessing it's the midnight charge. Anyway, I managed to reach home before 12am!

We shall play mahjong again very soon!

Temple day

Cab over to Yishun temple with mum at 5.30pm. Motive, pay a visit to Kong Zi! I think he's known as Confucius in english. As I had another test on this coming Thursday. So, ask for a little help from him. Heh.

Offerings.

Kong Zi, Confucius.

Used to be scared of them when I was young. They are very scary! Especially when the room is dark, with purple lights.

After that, we bused to North Point. Had Pasta Mania, since we have the voucher. Total : $26, becoming $21.

No, she's not acting cute. She was chewing her pizza when I snapped this.

Walked around after that, as I don't want to go home so early. Bought Mua Chee and Long Xu Tang from the Chinese New Year Food Fair.

Then to Guardian after that for Nurofen and Salonpas. For my headache and backache. I think my body is getting old...

Went to take a look at the shampoos and decided to buy this to try. $15, not cheap!

Bused home after that.

Science Centre Trip

Last minute planning with cousin in law of going Science Centre for her eldest son, Brandon's birthday. Woke at 7.30pm, dad drove me to North Point at 9.30am. Had KFC for breakfast together!

After an hour of breakfast, we took the train to Jurong East, then walked over.

Queued for the tickets, then decided on the Dinosaurs Exhibition first.

Cousin in law bought the 2 keychains. 1 for me to keep. Total $20, including 2 free photos.

After that walk, decided to have an early lunch, or you can call that a break. Had yucky and expensive fried rice with an egg. The serving was small too!

Went straight in the Science Centre after that. Landed at the Marine exhibition as we went in from the exit.

See the cup of rice?

Now you don't!

Didn't went to the eco garden as it was raining. Trying to prevent our shoes getting dirty from the muds.

Didn't complete the whole place as we wanted to rest first. Went to McDonalds as it's the cheapest over there.

Ended up all of the 3 kids took turns to fell asleep. By the time they wake, the Science Centre was closed and it was time to go for the IMAX theatre. Love our seats.

Lucky to have this piece of glass infront of us. As the seats are placed very steep, with 2 active boys and 1 baby. It's very dangerous if they fell.

40 mins film started on 7pm, end at 7.40pm. We watched Born To Be Wild.

Cousin in law decided to walked to IMM after that for dinner. The field infront of IMM was building something, so ended up we have to walk one super big round. The kids were complaining the tiredness and hungriness. Instantly speed up to Giant to buy baby food for meimei as she was hungry, yet refused milk. After that, queued around 15mins for Swensen as there's complimentary ice cream for the birthday boy. Fed meimei while queuing as she was screaming and crying away. Finally, food!

By the time we're done eating, it's already past 10pm. Paid the food bill, $50.6 as everything was paid by cousin in law during the day, including tickets which the total is $104, photos and meals. Cousin in law had a quick shopping at Cotton On Kids. Off to the taxi stand after that. Long queue, but the waiting time as short. Brandon, the birthday boy had a very bad fall while waiting halfway for the cab. Dropped me off first, then they went off. Cab fare also paid by cousin in law. Reached home around 11pm+. Was dead tired. Out all day, helped with taking care of the kids, and not forgetting I was the one carrying meimei most of the time when needed. As cousin in law has no strength. And also, I only had 4 hours of sleep previously! But then, had a very fun day!
